Where did the name Aqualand come from?
Aqualand was a petting zoo in the 60s and 70s. Here, you could feed a bear soda, pet a deer, see a chicken playing the piano, goats traversing on bridges, a pond so full of fish that you felt like you could walk across on their backs, and gigantic aquariums with portholes that made you feel like you were swimming with the fish. In the early 80s our grandpa came across the land that had once been a petting zoo and had a vision to repurpose the land yet keep it's natural beauty and name. Aqualand Campground was born.
